iPod Nano Software Update Goes Live In iTunes

Among the little avalanche of announcements from the latest Apple Media Event was an upgrade for the iPod Nano.

Listening to CEO Tim Cook. I thought he was saying it was a hardware update to the device. But it appears it's a software update and it's available for last year's Nanos as well. It's now live as an update in iTunes.

It gives improved fitness-tracking software, the choice of single-icon scrolling and a series of 16 different watch faces so you can strap the device onto your wrist and use it as a bloody stupid big wristwatch.
