Micro-USB Power Adapter Sneaks Into Apple Store

The European Union wants all mobile phones to use the same charger. Not the same charger. That would be bloody stupid crazy and cause a long queue of people waiting to charge their phones. But the same type of charger...with micro-USB being the standard.

Well, Engadget has noticed that Apple may be starting to comply. A micro-USB adapter has crept into the Apple Store for release on October 14 - the same day as the iPhone 4S is unleashed on the public.

Presumably it means Apple is at least considering having micro-USB ports built into its devices in the future.

They're flogging the adapter for £8.
