News Corp's iPad-only US newspaper, The Daily, has confirmed it's still falling way short of the 500,000 subscriptions it needs to break even.
The paper's publisher, Greg Clayman, has told AdAge that it has 120,000 readers each week, but only 80,000 of those are paying customers. The others are on free trial.
These are the first confirmed figures for the digi-paper since its launch eight months ago.
But Clayman confirmed that it soon won't be iPad-only. There are plans to launch an Android version of The Daily. That will include being able to subscribe to it on Amazon's up-coming Kindle Fire tablet.
