Vodafone UK is offering smartphone customers a free three-month all-you-can-use data trial.
For three months, you can use unlimited - really unlimited - data. It can be for surfing, downloading...in fact, anything including tethering ie using your phone as a WiFi hotspot to connect laptops and other devices. Although it doesn't include data roaming when you're abroad.
There is a catch though. It's only for new customers, or upgrading customers. At the end of the trial period, Vodafone will tell you how much data you've used so you can work out the best data tariff to pay for. So you may end up thinking you should pay through the nose for huge amounts of data you really don't need.
