Apple lawyers are busy people these days with patent battles springing up almost daily around the world.
But they've taken time out for a bit of humour in one case in the US.
HTC is suing Apple for...surprise, surprise...patent infringement. And...surprise, surprise...Apple is denying it. But Apple lawyers added this to their defence papers after HTC's legal team described the Cupertino company as "Apple, Inc":
"Apple denies that its correct name is Apple, Inc. The correct name of Respondent is Apple Inc."The Case Of The Comma was unearthed by an excellent website called FOSS Patents, run by Florian Mueller, which keeps tabs on tech patents.
