It's been a long time coming, but the BBC has now launched an iPlayer app for the iPhone and iPod Touch in the UK.
It joins a similar app for the iPad and comes a couple of days after a Global iPlayer iPhone app was released.
The UK iPhone app gives access to TV replay of the past seven days BBC TV and radio programmes. It will work on a WiFi or 3G connection.
It also gives live streaming of all BBC TV and radio channels, including background streaming, and after an hour or so of playing around with it, it seems to work very well. And it's free.
