Great for children, and not bad for adults. A new animated, interactive book version of The Beatles' Yellow Submarine has been released in the Apple iBook Store. And what's even better, it's free.
Originally released in 1968 (ahhh, flower-power and sunshine) as a cartoon movie and a music album, this incarnation is quite spectacularly good. There are lots of video clips and things to tap to see what they do.
It's a graphics-intensive offering and can stutter and judder a bit on the original iPad and older iPhones, but works flawlessly on newer devices.
