Right on cue - well, a tad earlier than on cue - Google has released its free Currents digital magazine app for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Android.
It's Google's swipe at the hugely successful Flipboard iPad app.
But, at the moment it's only live in the US Apple App Store and we have no word on when it will be rolled out elsewhere.
Current is a magazine-style RSS reader, but it also has a big catalogue of built in content. You can choose subjects, like tech or news, and Currents will search the web for the most - err - current content and update your feeds every hour.
Of course, you can also add your own choice of feeds to follow as well as your Google Reader choices.
It will all be laid out - photos, videos and all - in magazine style.
