Samsung has lost its legal bid to have the sale of the iPhone 4S banned in France, in the latest in the tit-for-tat patents dispute between the South Korean electronics giant and Apple.
A court in Paris - Le Tribunal de Grand Instance - decided Samsung's request was "disproportionate" and the company was ordered to pay 100,000 euros towards Apple's legal fees.
Last week, a court in California threw out Apple's attempt to have the Samsung Galaxy S2 smartphone and Galaxy 10.1 tablet banned from sale in the US.
But in Australia and Germany, Apple has won temporary sales bans on the Samsung devices.
Next up is Italy, where a court in Milan will next week hear a case brought by Samsung to ban the iPhone 4S.
