Rejoice! At long long last Facebook has updated its app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. And it's a complete rebuild aimed at making it faster and easier.
Facebook's iOS app has always been sluggish, especially on the iPad. It was a case of hitting the icon and waiting a couple of second for it to even open.
And it seems on early use the whole thing is much speedier.
Get downloading now....the new Facebook app is live in the Apple App Store and it's still free.
The old version only managed to get a users' rating of two stars. Let's see if the new one can improve on that.
Update: After using the new app on an iPhone 4S and a New iPad, we can confirm it's faster. Much faster. In fact, lightening fast.
Update 2: The new Facebook app now has a four-star rating in the App Store.
