It was three months ago that Chinese electronics manufacturer Huawei announced its first Windows Phone device and it looks like the Ascend W1 is now set for release.
Demo models of the WP8 device were handed out to journos at CES in Las Vegas.
The specs won't set gadget-lovers' hearts thumping, but it seems a solid entry-level phone which will presumably be aimed mainly at emerging smartphone markets and pre-pay.
It runs on a 1.2GHz processor, has 512MB of RAM and two cameras - 5MP on the back and 0.3MP on the front for video calling. The screen is 4-inches.
Update: It's reported that Huawei is planning more WP devices, including one with a massive 6.1-inch display.
