Happy birthday, Vine. You have revolutionised video sharing worldwide...and you're only one-year-old.
Yup...it was 12 months ago that a Vine app was launched on iOS letting users share video clips of 6 seconds to other Vine users as well as social networks like Facebook and Twitter. It's now on Android and Windows Phone as well.
Now, it's the way we do it...and not just for fun: Vine is now firmly embedded in journalists' toolbags as a way to quickly record, process and distribute video.
Twitter owns Vine...it bought the fledgling company before it was even walking and launched it onto the world with the marketing backing it deserved.
We have no official figures for Vine usage. But it's big. And all in one year.
