An update to the Windows Phone sync app for Macs has stopped it working for many users.
The update - Version 3.1.0 (140307) - went live on April 10 to coincide with the release of WP8.1 Developer Preview and to support future WP8.1 devices.
But users are now reporting the Mac app fails to open properly on launch and fails to recognise connected devices running either WP8.1 or WP8:
So far the only advice from Microsoft on its official Community Forum is to contact Apple about the problem:
The complaints about the bug are now rolling in thick and fast, although the Mac app update 3.1.0 is working fine for us.
