Update: If you've already used Spirit to jailbreak ie you're iPhone/iPad is already jailbroken, you are ok to update to iTunes 9.2. Your device will sync ok.
The warning not to update is for people who are planning to use the Spirit jailbreak. If you do, and you're on iTunes 9.2, your device will go into continuous boot.
Apple has released the latest update to iTunes.
This 9.2 version is in readiness for iOS4 which will be pushed out for iPhones on June 21 and the launch of the new iPhone 4 running iOS4 on June 24.
A warning to jailbreakers: using iTunes 9.2 with Spirit jailbreak will send your phone into a boot loop. So, don't do it!
If you've jailbroken your iPhone or iPad, stay away from the update until the all-clear is given.
Here are the changes in 9.2 in addition to iOS4 compatibility:
-iBook syncing with iPhone's and iPod touch's on iOS 4
-PDF Organization and syncing for iBooks
-Faster Backups with iOS 4
-iOS Folder support in the Home Screen organizer
-Album artwork appears faster when browsing your library.
