Pulse Beats Off Rivals

One of the best RSS newsreader apps for the iPad has just got better.

It's called Pulse. And the developers are now planning an app for the iPhone.

You may remember it. It was the one Steve Jobs used as an example of a good app when he launched the iPad.

Well, it's just been updated in iTunes.

With Pulse you can choose 20 of your favourite news and info websites and they're listed in a beautifully designed interface.

The only thing that was missing when Pulse was launched was the lack of caching. You always had to have a data connection to read it.

Now it's added caching.  So open the app and let it download your favourite reading - and you can carry on reading even out of signal.

You can get Pulse for the iPad from the iTunes App Store and Pulse for the iPhone will be coming soon.
