Pulse Beats On

There's a great RSS reader app in the iTunes iPad store called Pulse. It pulls your favourite feeds into a slick and very readable format perfectly suited to the iPad.

Steve Jobs mentioned it in his iPhone 4 launch extravaganza this week. Then...it was pulled from iTunes because the New York Times complained that it infringed its copyright on stories. Pah!

But, the next day, it reappeared.  It seems ol' SJ let it be known he wants it back.  And back it is. Without any preset links to the New York Times.

It costs two or three £ and the people behind it have just released an update making it faster to load. I've tried most of the iPad newreaders and Pulse is the best looking.

All it lacks is caching of the stuff it's downloaded and the app developers promise that will be introduced soon.
