CNN has had a news app out for some time, but it was almost totally full of news from The States.Not only that, it costs $1.99 AND has ads.
The once-great news channel has now launched an international version and it's free.
I haven't used it much yet, but a couple of people have contacted me saying it's OK for UK stories as well as international news. It also has push notifications.

Last week, the BBC launched its news app in the UK with the promise of sport and iPlayer to come soon.
