Apple Overtakes Blackberry In Phone Sales

Figures just released  show Apple is now in fourth place for global phone sales.

According to research firm IDC Apple has overtaken RIM's Blackberry.

Still way out in the lead is Nokia, followed by Samsung and LG, with Apple trailing at 4.1% market share.

But remember....Apple only started making phones less than four years ago. The others have been established for up to a dozen years.

Apple only makes the iPhone.  The others make dozens of different models.

Apple only makes smartphones.  The others' major market is low-end phones.

In the pure smartphone market, Apple's percentage share is increasing. The othrs are losing market share.
