Microsoft And Adobe "Plot To Overthrow Apple"

The New York Times is reporting that two of the biggest players in the tech world have held talks in an attempt to knock Apple off its growing dominance of the industry.

And you can't get much bigger than Microsoft and Adobe.

It's reported the talks involved Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and his Adobe counterpart Shantanu Narayen.

Apple, of course, refuses to let its mobile operating systems run Adobe's Flash.  So Adobe would love to get one over on Apple.  And Microsoft....well, it's just worried about its whole future.

It's thought the two companies are planning some form of possible partnership.  Or Microsoft could simply buy Adobe.

Mobile phone manufacturers are about to launch a raft of devices running Microsoft's new Windows Phone 7 operating system, which, of course, WILL run Flash sites.

And let's not forget Google, with its Android phone operating system.  It too would LOVE closer links with Adobe.

Not surprisingly, Adobe's shareprice has shot up. And, again not surprisingly, there's no official comment from anyone.
