The Orange and T-Mobile phone networks in the UK have today formally joined forces to create a new SuperNetwork.The two companies merged earlier this year and now customers on one can use the other for a network signal. In effect, Orange customers can "roam" on T-Mobile and vice-versa.
The network sharing can be used for calls, text messages and data, but not 3G data although that's planned for early next year.
It's not automatic though, customers have to go through a free registering process..
