Samsung Tab Takes On iPad In Price Battle

After much rumouring and speculation, it now seems Samsung's new Galaxy Tab will be taking on the iPad face-to-face as far as price is concerned.

UK retailer CarPhoneWarehouse has just put up a pre-order webpage for the Samsung device, pricing it at £529.99 - putting it squarely against Apple's 16GB iPad with 3G and WiFi at £529.

Many people have been looking forward to Samsung's 7" tablet as a real possible iPad-killer. But it was thought it would be priced higher than the Apple device.

Now we know it's taking on the iPad at the same price tag. And don't forget, the Samsung also has front and back cameras for photo-taking and video-calling, support for Flash websites...and it's a phone!

The Samsung Galaxy Tab will be released on November 1 in the UK.

Looks like an interesting battle in the offing.
