If you're holding off from buying an iPad until you see just what RIM's Blackberry PlayBook is like - you're in for a long wait.DigiTimes is reporting that the company's Vice President for Asia-Pacific has let it drop that the device will be launched in the US during the first quarter of next year....and in the rest of the world in the second quarter.
And we all know that planned launches tend to get delayed.
It seems an odd decision. By next summer there will be a slew of tablet devices on the market - all competing with what will then be the iPad2.
It also seems the smaller PlayBook won't be trying to undercut the iPad in price but will be marketed at roughly the same price-point.
