Cost Of An iPad "Set To Fall" In UK

The cost of buying an iPad in the UK looks set to fall in the run-up to Christmas.

Marketing Week says network operators Orange and T-Mobile will cut the cost of the device, as long as customers sign up for a long-term data contract - either 18-months or two years.

It thought a top-of-the-range iPad could cost as little as £200 -compared with nearly £700 without a contract.

Both Orange and T-Mobile are now owned by the same company, Everything Everywhere, and customers can flip from one network to the other to get the bests signal wherever they are.

An official announcement is expected this week.
