The Economist magazine has launched apps for the iPad and iPhone.The apps are free to download and will show a selection of features in the current edition of the magazine.
Full content for each edition can be downloaded from within the app for £3.49/$5.99.
Readers who already subscribe to the magazine's website or printed edition will be able to get the full app edition for free.
The downloadable content is stored within the app for off-line reading
