Intelliscreen Updated For iPhone iOS4.2.1 - And Crashes!

I moaned a bit ago about a lack of feature updates for one of the most useful apps on a jailbroken iPhone - Intelliscreen.

Well, good news....Intelliscreen has just been updated to run on the new iOS4.2.1 update.

Intelliscreen...from Intelliborn...lets you see your calendar, new emails and new text messages on your lockscreen. In fact, it does a lot more than that...you can also have your favourite RSS feeds and a five-day weather forecast. And it's very customisable.

The update...Vs 4.6.2... is now live in the Cydia App Store on jailbroken iPhones. It's a free update.  If you're new to Intelliscreen, it costs $9.99, but with a free trial.

Update: It seems the Intelliscreen update doesn't work properly. I can confirm that trying to select "IntelliAlerts" in the app, makes it crash.

Updated the application on my iphone and now I am unable to access the IntelliAlert tab on the phone. I was able to do this prior to the update, so I assume this is a software problem.

It's broke for me too. I tried downloading MyProfile and the thing crashes too.

Is there anyway to roll back to 4.6.2 this week? I need repeating alerts for work.

Exactly the same with me. Hitting the IntelliAlert tab in the new version of Intelliscreen crashes the app. Otherwise it's working ok. Let's home Intelliborn get this sort out quickly.

Yep, same for me. 4.7.1 definitely broke something. You'll also probably find that your email account configuration is messed up too....

I even went ahead and upgraded to IOS 4.2.1 and reinstalled. Still broke. Even uninstalled and reinstalled....still broke. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't me. I've emailed Intelliborn about 3 times since yesterday, but haven't gotten any response. I just purchased the app the day before 4.7.1 released.

Confirmed... same issue today after installing 4.7.1. Crashes as soon as you hit IntelliAlerts tab.

I've emailed 3 times and tweeted several. Unbelievable how BAD their support is. Why they can't just acknowledge the problem and give some indication of when it will be fixed is beyond me. I'm starting to wonder if the company has bit the dust. One thing's for sure...I've spend my last $ on Intelliborn apps...regardless of how good they are. I've been in IT for 26 years and it's my worst experience with software support.

Finally! Intelliscreen 4.7.2 has been released and it works again!

Dang! I spoke too soon, IntelliAlerts doesn't cause the app to crash anymore but it doesn't save the settings either. The rest of the app works, just not IntelliAlerts - the part that needs to.

Just received the following from support:
We apologize for these issues with Intelliscreen; some of which came about when the iphone firmware was last changed. We have been working to correct these problems and we did release 4.7.1 and 4.7.2 in recent days/weeks, however the problems have NOT been resolved. Again we do apologize for this inconvenience.

We are still working on it and we hope to have 4.7.3 available within a few days.

Intelliscreen lives!


We just released Intelliscreen version 4.8.1 which should improve function on the latest iphone firmware (4.2.1) and should improve function over Intelliscreen 4.7.2

Please install 4.8.1 and let me know what problems remain.
