Why iPad Says "Not Charging" When Plugged Into USB

Ever wondered why your iPad say "Not Charging" when it's plugged into a USB port on a computer?
And the answer is simple. Because it's not charging.

BUT, let your iPad go into sleep mode and it WILL charge from a USB port although it's a verrrrrrrry slow charge and will take several hours to fully fill up your device.

It's because the voltage of most older USB computer ports isn't powerful enough, although the iPad will charge while awake on some Macs.

The same happens with the iPad 2 as well as the original iPad.

So...if you can't use your mains charger and HAVE to use USB, just hit your power button to put the iPad into sleep mode and leave it...for...a...long...time.

Well my iPad works perfectly fine. You are right its because of the USB port, I think some of the USB 2.0 ports are not compatible with iPads USB charger.
