There's a really useful app for jailbroken iPhones called iSmart Dialler and it's now been updated for iPhone 4 Retina display.
It replaces the default keypad dialler in the iPhone's built-in Phone app and gives you a smart-list of names to dial from your contacts.
If you want to call John...type in J, then O and so on, and a list of all names with those letter will appear. It makes dialling contacts much easier than scrolling through a long contacts list.
As well as dialling your contact, it also gives you the options to send an SMS or an email.
It works on all iPhones, and now looks great on the iPhone 4's Retina display.
iSmart dialler costs $3.99 in the Cydia App Store and the upgrade is free if you already own it.
