Update: Full Untethered Jailbreak Soon For Mac And Windows

The iPhone Dev-Team have released a fourth beta version of their untethered Redsn0w jailbreak for all devices running iOS4.2.1 - that includes the iPhone 4 and the iPad.

Untethered means you don't have to connect your phone to your computer and re-run Redsn0w every time you reboot your device.

The latest beta gets rid of a step to install a separate programme for the USB connection to work. It's now built-in to the jailbreak.

So...it's getting easier, but it's still in beta testing stage. It's only for people with Mac computers and there are still problems to iron out...like Bluetooth doesn't work on your iDevice and neither does Skype.

But it's thought the Dev-Team are nearing releasing a full public version for both Mac and Windows users.
