Reports from China and Taiwan say suppliers will start manufacturing the updated iPad-2 in February and the iPhone 5 in May.
That would put the iPad-2 on course to be in shops in March or April and the iPhone 5 would go on sale in June.
This would seem to confirm recent speculation about launch dates.
It's claimed the iPhone 5 will go into full-production immediately, indicating a swift worldwide launch, but the iPad-2 production could be gradually increased, indicated a phased launch probably with the United States being first.
Nothing is confirmed, but it all looks fairly likely.
