O2 UK To Launch Free WiFi Hotspots For All

There must be a catch to this...or am I just being too cynical.

UK mobile network O2 has announced it's setting up a nationwide network of WiFi hotspots which will be free for everyone to use - not just O2 customers.
It says it will start by making its 450 "Cloud" hostspots free and it pledges that by 2013 it'll have a network at least double the size of "BT Openzone" and "The Cloud" combined.

The O2 WiFi hotspots will be in "cafes, restaurants, shops and other indoor and outdoor locations".

It says all O2 mobiles will be set up for automatic signing-in at the hotspots and for other users it will be a "simple sign-up process" with no costs.
