Amazon is rolling out a software update for its excellent Kindle bookreader "over the next few days".
It will be automatically pushed to devices on a WiFi connection but if you're impatient and can't wait, here's how to do it by USB.
Two of the major features of the update are real page numbers...tens of thousand of books will now be page numbered the same as printed versions... and there's a new layout for downloaded newspapers and magazines.
