Apple Still King Of The App Stores

Mobile apps are the fodder of the future. And the growth of customers appetite for apps for smartphones and tablets continues to astound.

Figures from analysts IHS show Apple's App Store continues to rule the market with a whopping 82.7% share. The nearest contender is Blackberry's App World at only 7.7%.

But look how that Apple figure has dropped by nearly 10 per cent from 2009. And look at the 861.5% year-on-year growth of Google Android Market.

In fact, all App Store have shown big growth...but Apple less than the others, even Nokia's Ovi Store.  Watch out Cupertino, they'll be snapping at your heals soon.
