While News Corp's "The Daily" subscription diginewspaper was launched exclusively on the iPad, it seems it may be about to appear on Android devices.
The Wall Street Journal's All Things Digital claims its sources say there will be an Android app in the Spring.
News Corp boss Rupert Murdoch has never made any secret of the fact he wants "The Daily" on as many tablets as possible, but no-one expected it this soon. It's known that, while not exactly a joint venture with Apple, the News Corp project received plenty of backing and technical help from Cupertino.
It's reported that only last week, a technical teams from the two companies had talks over complaints the app is jerky and takes an age to load.
