iPad 2 Shipping Delay Reports "Untrue"

Reuters is reporting that claims of a delay in the shipping schedule for the new iPad 2 are wrong.

The news agency quotes "a person familiar with the matter" saying "the speculation is simply untrue".

Earlier, reports from Taiwan said iPad 2 shipping would be delayed until June.  But Reuters says production is on schedule.

If it's true, it means shipping should start in April and it's expected the device will first be launched in the US with a staggered worldwide roll-out.

Reuters' "source" came forward after the delay reports caused a 2.7% drop in Apple share price.
