iPhone In Top Ten Inventions - Ever


A survey carried out in the UK puts the iPhone in the Top Ten Inventions - ever. It was pipped to the top spot only by things like the wheel, penicillin and the aeroplane.

  6. The Telephone
  7. Penicillin

  9. The Flushing Toilet
  10. The Combustion Engine 
OK...it only came in at No.8, but, hey, it beat non-essentials like cars and loos. And it's way above hair-straighteners at No. 34 and the knife and fork at No.36.

The survey was carried out by the mobile network - surprise, surprise - Tesco Mobile who say they questioned 4,000 people. I wonder if all those 4,000 were queuing up to buy iPhones when they were questioned! Let's hope they didn't have to queue up for too long and need a flushing loo.
