Install SBSettings app from the Cydia App Store and your jailbroken iPhone suddenly gets user-friendly.
Swipe across the top of any screen - including the lockscreen - and a box slides down. Here you can switch on or off WiFi, 3G, Edge, adjust screen brightness or put your phone into airplane mode. Swipe the screen again, and the box disappears.
These are just the basic functions of SBSettings. There are many add-ons in the Cydia store, for example you can add a calculator which you can use without having to exit the app you're working in.
