Why Is Apple Charging For Mac FaceTime HD App?

Is Apple getting greedy?  It's launched a FaceTime HD video calling app in the Mac App Store...and it's charging 59p/99c.

FaceTime apps are free on the iPhone, iPod Touch and - hopefully - on the soon-to-be-announced iPad 2.

You could, of course, just forget FaceTime on your Mac, and use Skype or Fring or Windows Live or...any of the other video calling methods that are FREE.

Greed? Or perhaps it's Apple's way of luring you into the Mac App Store for the first time and logging your all-important credit card details.
