The Spotify streaming music service has apologised to users after being hit by a malware attack.
An ad that appeared on the service's website was loaded with a virus that automatically infected users computers - without even clicking on the ad.
It installed a bogus "Windows Recovery" anti-virus programme on users machines.
Spotify says all ads were immediately removed and it only affect members of its free service.
Users with legit anti-virus programmes would have been protected and the advice is to run your legit programme to get rid of the infection.
