WiFi Coming To 120 London Underground Stations

The go ahead has been given for 120 London Tube stations to be fitted out with WiFi hotspots.

Work is scheduled to be completed by the start of the 2012 London Olympic Games.

It follows a trial run by BT Openzone at Charing Cross station.

Bids for the hotspots will be opened to all WiFi providers.

The hotspots will only cover stations and platforms and not trains travelling in the underground network and they won't be free...you'll have to subscribe to a provider, but it's thought companies will share access so one subscription will cover all stations.
