UK TV network, Channel 4, has launched an on-demand iPad app for its 4oD catchup service.
The app is free "for a limited time" and contains "a wide selection of shows from Channel 4, E4 and More 4.
The programmes will be available for up to 30 days after airing. The content will not be available outside the UK and the app only works on WiFi, not 3G.
To use the app, there's a sign up process - where you have to enter your age (why?why?why?) - and you have to dribble through a one-minute ad before each replay show starts.
I'm not sure I'll be happy to have to sit through video ads AND pay for the app/service.
But, as I said, the 4oD Catch Up app is free at the moment and you can get it in the Apple App Store.
