Hackers "Demand Ransom For PlayStation Credit Card Info"

Some internet security experts say hackers are now trying to sell customers credit card information stolen in the hacking attack on Sony's PlayStation Network.

Not only that.  They say the hackers have even tried to sell it back to Sony for a reported $100,000.

So the data theft could turn into more of a kidnapping and ransom demand.

Sony denies the reports and insists the credit card data was encrypted.
“Sony is saying the credit cards were encrypted,” Mathew Solnik, iSEC Partners security consultant points out, ”but we are hearing that the hackers made it into the main database, which would have given them access to everything, including credit card numbers.”
