Weddar App To Give And Get Localised Weather Reports

Here's what could be a very useful iPhone app. Weddar is kind of weather social networking.

The app locates you and you input what the weather feels like where you are. Your report then appears on a map.  There are lots of choices of weather icons with nice graphics.

Your report will then fade over time, indicating it could be out of date, until you input an update.

Better still, you can also request a weather report. You hold your finger on a map location and a report request will appear. Anyone in that location can then add current weather details.

The app has just been released so there aren't many users at the moment, but it will get better the more people who sign up and update their local weather. Users get a point for every report they leave and appear on a leaderboard.

OK, it's only current weather, but could be useful if you're planning a trip to a beach a few miles away. It would also be good if there was a text-input box for users to write short reports.

The Weddar app is free in the Apple App Store.
