White iPhone 4 "Is Thicker Than Black"

I feel a thicknessgate coming on.  Reports are buzzing around that the white iPhone 4 - released today nearly a year behind schedule - is not exactly the same as the black version, apart from colour.

It's thicker.  Apparently the bezel is the same on both, but the plastic front and back on the white version is thicker...albeit by way less than a millimetre.

Does size matter? Well, a few new owners say the white device won't fit in some cases designed for the iPhone 4.

Ryan Cash of MarketCircle noticed the size difference when he compared is new white device with his "old" black one.

It's known Apple was having some difficulties with light bleeding through the white case, so perhaps it's solved it by making the front and back thicker.
