White iPhone 4 Set For Release This Week - Wednesday Likely

There could soon be a great big hole in the tech blogsphere - no more speculation stories about the release of the elusive white iPhone 4.

And it's looking very likely that this is the week.

Delayed by nearly a year because of "manufacturing problems", it seems mobile networks are gearing up to sell the device and the fingers of iSpeculation are pointing to Wednesday April 27 in Europe and the US at least.

According to 9to5mac, the Dutch retailer BelCompany has sent out a memo naming the date and saying the white iPhone 4 will be available in 16GB and 32GB versions. The website also has what appears to be images of inventory data from the Best Buy retail chain in the US and that, too, indicates a Wednesday release date.

But it seems - surprise, surprise - stock will be low and once sold out, there could be a four-to-five-week wait for more.
