YouTube "To Take On iTunes With New-Release Movies"

It's reported YouTube is about to announce a big boost to its streaming movie service.

The Wrap says Google has signed deals with Sony, Warner Brothers and Universal to let YouTube stream latest releases on a pay-per-view basis.

YouTube already has a movie rental section but it's small and limited to old titles and independent productions.

Insiders are reported saying Google wants to expand it to compete with iTunes and Netflix movie rentals.
