It's reported the Apple App Store has hit a significant milestone: Apple has now approved more than 500,000 apps submitted for the store.
CNN Money says the figure is likely to be formally announced at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco in June.
The total number of apps currently in the App Store is nearer 400,000, because of things like developers withdrawing apps or Apple kicking them out. But the number of apps that have gone through the Apple approval process successfully is the magical 500,000.
