Apple Store iPhone App "To Be Updated With Build-To-Order"

We know Apple retail stores are in for a facelift this weekend and it now looks like the Apple Store iOS app could be updated as well.

MacRumors is reporting the update will be released on Sunday, May 22, and will include a build-your-own-Mac feature.

At the moment, you can only use the app - available in North America - for off-the-shelf spec Macs. But it seems Apple will now give customers the opportunity of customising hard disc, memory and processor - a feature already available with webstore on-line ordering.

It would be good if Apple also rolled out the app to the rest of us not in North America.
