O2 has come out top in a widespread survey of mobile broadband speeds in the UK. The research was carried out by OFCOM, the industry regulator.
The research found some differences between the performance of operators’ 3G networks. O2, Vodafone and 3 offered faster average download speeds than T-Mobile and Orange.
If I'm reading the pretty basic OFCOM chart above correctly, here are the UK networks in order of average speed:O2, on average, delivered web pages faster than the other four operators and had lower average latency than 3, Orange and Vodafone.
1. O2
2. Vodafone
3. 3
4.T-Mobile
5.Orange
