Steve Jobs To "Unveil" iCloud, iOS5 And OS X Lion On Monday June 6




Apple has confirmed that CEO Steve Jobs will unveil its iCloud music locker service at the start of its Worldwide Developers Conference on Monday, June 6.

Also unveiled will be iOS5, the next operating system update for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and OS X Lion, a major update for its Mac desktop and laptop operating system.

CUPERTINO, California—May 31, 2011—Apple® CEO Steve Jobs and a team of Apple executives will kick off the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a keynote address on Monday, June 6 at 10:00 a.m. At the keynote, Apple will unveil its next generation software - Lion, the eighth major release of Mac OS® X; iOS 5, the next version of Apple’s advanced mobile operating system which powers the iPad®, iPhone® and iPod touch®; and iCloud®, Apple’s upcoming cloud services offering.
Steve jobs is officially still on indefinite medical leave and it's seen as good news over his health that Apple has pre-announced his attendance.

It's believed the iCloud service will take over much of the function of the current subscription MobileMe remote syncing and storage and will add a cloud music-storage service.  It's known Cupertino has now signed deals with most, if not all, the major record labels.

iOS5 is also believed to be a major update to include iCloud syncing and other new features.

The announcement seems to confirm that the keynote will focus on software and details of the next-generation iPhone seem unlikely - although your never know.
