Blackberry "Scraps Plans For New PlayBook, Instead Concentrates On SuperPhone"

Blackberry news website, N4BB, says RIM has scrapped plans for a new larger 10" PlayBook tablet and instead is concentrating on a new super smartphone.

It was reported Blackberry would be launching the new tablet, after the release of its 7" PlayBook earlier this month.  But sales have been disappointing.

RIM is reported to have dropped its Q2 sales forecast for the PlayBook from 2.4-million to less then 900,000.  It seems it's proving to be no real opposition to Apple's iPad.

Instead, N4BB says the company will concentrate on a new 4.3" smartphone.
